About Kayakers Cove
Check In/Out
Check in time is after 2:00pm, Check out is noon. If you wish to stay past check out time of noon please contact us for prior approval. A $20 day use fee may be charged for those who stay past checkout and use facilities.
Equipment Usage
We have single and double kayaks along with the paddles, PFD’s, spray skirts and safety gear. A $25 per person/per day equipment usage fee is required to use kayaks and gear, please bring cash or check.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than sixty (60) days prior to your arrival, will be refunded minus a $100 cancelation fee.
Cancellations made less than sixty (60) days prior to your arrival, will require you to be fully responsible for the entire reservation.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
You will need to bring your own food and beverages. There is a kitchen with a stove, sink, pots and pans, dishes and utensils provided. Propane is limited, due to our remote location. If you will have food and beverages that need to be kept cold, bring an ice chest. Please recycle your own glass, aluminum and plastic. We ask that you take your garbage with you when you leave.
FIREWOOD
Please bring firewood with you for indoor wood stoves or campfires. Firewood is available at local shops. Limited wood and fire starters will be available to purchase on site, however, due to our remote location we cannot guarantee availability. Wood stoves provide all the heat in our cabins be sure to bring enough to keep your party warm.
LIGHTING
Kayakers Cove is off grid meaning without electricity. Please bring headlamps or flashlights.
CLOTHING
Bring warm, layered clothing with you. Long underwear, fleece, warm socks, rain gear, and rubber boots are all essential. If you don't have rubber boots we do have a limited selection available for you to use.
SLEEPING BAGS
Please bring your own sleeping bags and pillows. We no longer provide bedding. Sleeping bags may be rented for $5 per stay.
DOGS
Unfortunately, dogs are no longer allowed at Kayakers Cove, for liability reasons. There are local dog sitters and kennels in Seward who would be happy to take your dog while you’re here.
Getting Here
Kayakers Cove is accessible only by water taxi, we do not provide transportation. Please check with local water taxis for availability.
